The February Edit
Like so many cities across the country, Minneapolis went through a serious cold snap this month. Most days, our temperatures barely crept above zero, so we have been hunkered down indoors with lots of extra time at home and at the office. Luckily, our client workload has kept us busy as we endure all this winter weather, and we’ve been grateful to focus our attention on everything that’s ahead. Our team is working to build out our spring and summer calendar, with projects taking us from coast to coast across nine different states! Needless to say, we’ve been in full-on work mode, so we’re dedicating The February Edit post as a little glimpse into our day-to-day.
For anyone who might be curious, here’s what we’ve been up to this month. Plus, all the podcasts we’ve been listening to along the way.

TO NOTE
As projects continue to connect us with clients all across the country, Laura and I have been lamenting about how hard it’s been not to watch our work in progress. Between out-of-state travel and covid procedures, we haven’t been able to photograph or be on-site as much as we’d like, but we’re doing our very best to sit tight. We can’t wait to finally see our work in-person (and of course, show it to you!), but rest assured, these projects will get photographed eventually.
Patience is the name of our game, and we have plenty of exciting side projects right around the corner. Hint, hint: we may or may not have more custom furniture, including some softer pieces in collaboration with one of our fave vintage rug vendors in store.

TO LISTEN
It is Black History Month, which is such a great time to revisit our commitment to listen, learn, and engage in conversations around supporting the BIPOC community. You know podcasts are my favorite form of media, so one way I’ve been aiming to take steps forward in education is by listening to some really great series featuring Black stories and voices. There’s so much great content out there, but here are a few podcasts that are well worth a listen:

AROUND THE OFFICE
Exciting news: we added a new Procurement Manager to our ranks in February, and we couldn’t be more thankful for Samantha to join the team! Samantha is currently living in Los Angeles and will be serendipitously relocating to Minneapolis within a few months. Her focus will be on all things procurement to ensure each and every detail is executed and our clients’ items arrive in perfect condition. A full introduction to Samantha is coming soon, but for now, you can find her knee-deep in tracking information and shipping schedules!
